Q: When using an Accell DisplayPort adapter, my computer is unable
to detect my third monitor or my third monitor doesn't display an
image. What should I do?
A: There are several reasons why your monitor
is not getting a signal. We recommend the following- Disconnect
the first two monitors, leaving the third monitor connected to the
Accell DisplayPort adapter. Re-starting your PC should enable the
monitor to begin working. Once the monitor is working, re-connect
the rest of the monitors. Go to "Display" properties in Windows
and confirm all monitors are properly detected. Make sure all monitors
are shown with the correct brand name and model number.

Q: My Accell DisplayPort adapter was working great until recently
when I began experiencing a flashing or blank screen. What should
I do?
A: Please try to recall if you have made any recent
video card driver updates. Usually when adapter fails to respond,
it's often caused by an unsuccessful driver installation or incompatible
driver version. We recommend users to restore their video card driver
back to the factory default setting. If a new video card driver
is desired, please re-install the new driver again by completely
uninstall the older version. Rewriting the driver without uninstalling
the previous version may cause problems when using our adapter.
Please note that the performance of the DisplayPort adapter is subject
to capabilities of the computer and graphics solution.

A: Many Accell DisplayPort adapters are AMD Eyefinity

does not work with our adapter, we suggest to install driver version
11.6 or earlier. Please visit the link

display drivers for Windows. Please make sure you completely remove
the current driver version (uninstall) before you install another

Q: Does DisplayPort transmit audio? I bought a DisplayPort to HDMI
Video Converter to connect my computer to a TV. The picture looks
fine but no sound.
A: DisplayPort is able to deliver a true digital
imaging and crystal clear sound, however you need to send the audio
to the TV. Please change the setting configuration from the "Sound"
properties in Windows to enable sound to go to your TV instead of
the computer's default speakers.

Q: When using DisplayPort to DVI Dual-Link adapter or mini DisplayPort
to DVI Dual-Link adapter, why doesn't my monitor occasionally power
up from "Sleep Mode"?
A: When a computer comes out from sleep mode, it takes 3-4 seconds
to power the adapter. Some PC or notebook computer might react very
quickly and cannot detect the adapter while it takes 3-4 seconds to
power it up.
Please try the below:
1. Shut down and restart the PC, or simply unplug and re-insert the
adapter's USB power cable to refresh power to the device.
2. Or power the adapter by connecting the adapters USB power cable
to a 5V AC USB power adapter rather than using the PC's USB power.

Q. Can I use the DisplayPort to DVI or DisplayPort to DP multi-monitor
adapter to connect to three monitors and have each monitor act independently?
A: The nature of this product is to allow you expending
the display from single monitor to up to three monitors. It does
not provide the function to allow monitor to act on its own. However
this product is a great companion for PC users who do not have video
card that supports multi-monitor function and are looking for easy
connection to multiple monitors with a single DisplayPort output.
If you are looking to run each monitor individually, you will need
to have video card that provides multiple DisplayPort outputs in
order to support multiple monitors display. Accell has various DisplayPort
cables and adapters made to meet your expectation. Please visit
the product
page below for more details.
