ACCELL'S
ULTRARUN LINE OF LONG LENGTH HDMI CABLES EARN THE PRESTIGIOUS ATC CERTIFICATION
FREMONT, Calif., August 28, 2006 -- Accell,
a provider of premium audio/video interconnects, has earned the HDMI™
ATC (Authorized Test Center) certification for its UltraRun™ line of commercial
and residential installer HDMI cables.
Only eight HDMI Authorized Test Centers exist in the
world and only one in North America. A product must pass stringent testing
by the ATC before claiming HDMI certification. Accell worked with Silicon
Image, which represents the test center for North America, located in
Sunnyvale, California.
Geared for residential and commercial installers, the
UltraRun line is the world's first affordable and truly long run HDMI
cables that deliver a high-definition digital signal without noise or
degradation. It is also the industry's first copper conductor HDMI long
run cables available in lengths of up to 147 feet (45 meters).
Length limitations have been a critical challenge in
the HDMI cable industry due to degradation and loss of signal integrity
when using cables longer than 15 feet. Accell's new UltraRun HDMI cables
feature an exclusive, miniature signal equalizer and booster, providing
high-definition digital transmission without signal loss. The cables require
no external power, support resolutions of up to 1080p and are HDCP compatible.
"Receiving HDMI ATC certification is a testament to
our engineers and the company vision for creating A/V connectivity solutions
that combine high performance and unparalleled value," said Tenny Sin,
Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Accell. "Accell has earned resounding
customer praise and support, and it has inspired us to constantly research
and innovate industry-leading connectivity solutions for A/V enthusiasts."
HDMI compliance testing is performed to the specifications
called out in the HDMI Compliance Test Specification (CTS) 1.2a. Requiring
compliance testing promotes greater interoperability between HDMI devices
from different manufacturers. UltraRun™ cables are UL Listed and CL-3
compliant and suitable for in-wall installation. Installers now have the
capability of positioning displays or projectors up to 147 feet (45 meters)
away from the video source without the need for expensive fiber optic
cables or combining cables using bulky repeaters.
