Accell's line of Smart Surge Protectors make it easy to live green and save money Fremont, Calif. - June 8, 2010 - Accell, a provider of premium audio/video and computer accessories, today announced the availability of its new product line of environmentally friendly GreenGenius Smart Surge Protectors. Available in both six or ten surge protected power outlets, Accell's line of GreenGenius Smart Surge Protectors are GSA approved and have an MSRP starting at $34.99 Many electronic devices use unnecessary power when idle, in standby mode or even when turned off. A Department of Energy study showed that 15% of the energy an average household uses is for standby current. When the GreenGenius Smart Surge Protector is used, it automatically turns off the power to idle devices, eliminating electricity usage and saving money. Accell's GreenGenius Smart Surge Protectors are available
in three models and feature the following: · Provides more than 2,250
or 3,600 Joules of Absorption Capacity, depending on which surge protector
is used (six or ten outlet) The GreenGenius Smart Surge Protectors feature a Master Outlet, energy-saving Switched Outlets and Always-On Outlets. The Master Outlet is appropriate for products such as a computer, whereas the energy-saving Switched Outlets work with any device used with a computer, such as a printer or monitor.
