Cable Products FAQ

I have an UltraRun cable. Where do I plug in the power adapter?
The power jack is located on the side of the repeater module. The repeater module is the rectangle shaped module below the HDMI connector. The power jack may contain a protective plug cover that must be removed before attaching the power adapter. If the UltraRun operates without a power adapter, than there is no need to use the power adapter.

I have an UltraCam Mini AV Camcorder cable and I am having problems getting audio and/or video?
The Accell UltraCam Mini A/V camcorder cable is designed to work with the common camcorder audio and video pin assignment. However not all camcorders are produced with identical pin assignments (pinouts). Normally, the cables colored rings (yellow, red, white) will correspond and be connected to the colored jacks on your A/V equipment. In the case where you don't receive audio and/or video, we encourage you to try different combinations (e.g. red to white etc.) to find the correct combination that works with your equipment.

My cable does not seem to be working.
Check the connection and cable. Are the connectors securely inserted into their receptacles? It's worth checking your connections again. Are there transparent dust caps on the ends of the cables? Some of our products come equipped with dust caps for protection. Please remove them before connecting your cable.
Try another cable. This is easy for cables like USB cables or power cords that you can borrow from another device. If you find that the other cable doesn't fix the problem, you are likely experiencing a problem with your hardware device. Contact your component or peripheral manufacturer's support line for help.
Are all the components powered on? Make sure that your device is plugged in and turned on.
Have you installed the correct software to run your peripheral device? Many problems arise from improperly functioning of components or peripherals. Contact your component or peripheral manufacturer's support line for help.

The connector sleeve of my A/V cable is loose. The metal sleeves on Accell UltraAudio and UltraVideo cables are designed to screw on the end of the cables connector. Try turning the metal sleeve clockwise to tighten the fit.

The cable doesn't seem to fit in the receptacle. First, make sure that you've oriented the connector properly to the receptacle. Often times, there is a "key" or a plastic notch that indicates the orientation of the connector.
Next, check to make sure that there are no plastic end-caps on the connectors. Some of our products such as our DVI and fiber optic cables come with transparent protective dust caps.

My cable appears to be damaged. If you've just purchase the cable, please check with your reseller about getting a replacement cable. Accell does not take responsibility for damages that are a result of normal wear, abuse, shipping damage, or failure to use the cable in accordance with the instructions.
